T-ring was invented by the American surgeon Dr. William Green, who discovered that there was no safe solution to drain fingers and toes in the blood and to maintain the bloodless field. All available methods meant that an increasingly high pressure were used. This meant a high risk of complications such as nerve damage. It was with this in mind that T-ring was invented and the company Precision Medical Devices, LLC was formed. They currently produce T-ring available in many countries around the world.
